YouGov/Sun - CON 36%, LAB 40%, LDEM 9%

Tonight's YouGov poll for the Sun has topline figures of CON 36%, LAB 40%, LDEM 9%, Others 15%. The four point lead for Labour is the smallest since the budget - for the last fortnight YouGov's daily poll had been showing Labour leads at or just below 10 points.

While there is a temptation to overanalyse any sharp movement in the polls - the budget effect starting to wear off perhaps? - I'll leave this with my normal caveat about reading too much into any single poll. Sure, it could be the start of Labour's lead falling again, or it could just be a blip and Labour will be back to a ten point lead in the next poll. We'll see tomorrow.
