Voters of All Major Parties Support Right to Roam
There is majority of support for a right to roam in England across voters of every major party affiliation. Right to roam is already in place in Scotland, as 62% of all voters support its expansion to England. The finding comes courtesy of a poll of 2,049 from YouGov and Right to Roam.
Just under one in five voters oppose a right to roam, as this figure declines to 12% amongst Labour voters. Conservatives are the least likely to support reform, with 56% in support and 31% opposed. Meanwhile 74% of Labour voters and 66% of Liberal Democrats would be in favour of right to roam.
