On boundaries and bias

If you have a free half an hour at some point today, Michael Thrasher (of Rallings and Thrasher fame) has a Youtube video up explaining the bias in the electoral system, the different causes of if (electorate size, turnout and vote distribution) and how they have changed over time, the difference between disproportionality and bias and so on. I'm hoping that many of my readers will already know some of this, but Michael is trying out some new ways of visualising and explaining it - there's a survey at the end to tell him how well (or badly) he's done!

On a similar subject, there a good post (and the full academic paper) from Ron Johnston, David Rossiter and Charles Pattie on how the boundary review has operated so far.
