ICM/Sunday Telegraph - 38/34/18
There's a new ICM poll in the Sunday Telegraph. Topline figures with changes from a week ago are CON 38%(+3), LAB 34%(-3), LDEM 18%(nc).
The previous ICM poll was just after the Labour conference and showed Labour ahead, now we have the Conservatives back ahead, so the changes both pollsters show is much the same (though of course, they continue to show very different Lib Dem scores, with the knock on effect that ICM show both Labour and the Conservatives lower)
UPDATE: The ICM poll in the Sunday Telegraph also found 53% of people supporting the cut in child benefit. This is noticably lower than the 83% YouGov found straight after the announcement - that may be a decrease in support as people become aware of the issue around it being based on a higher rate taxpayer rather than the household income, or it could be due to a different question. YouGov's 83% was in a question that specifically refered to the principle of the cut, then found a much lower percentage supporting the way the coalition was proposing to do it. We don't yet know how ICM asked the question.
Meanwhile, YouGov's weekly voting intention for the Sunday Times is CON 42%, LAB 38%, LDEM 12%.
