A steady picture from ComRes

A ComRes poll in the Independent on Sunday shows the main two parties static. The topline figures, with changes from the last ComRes poll, are CON 37%(nc), LAB 36%(nc), LDEM 14%(-3). The poll was conducted on the 10th and 11th December. The previous poll from ComRes was

Most people really don't care about Damian Green

Having been disappointed by its absense from the main report of the Times' monthly Populus poll, I find they did include questions on Damian Green after all. We'll have to have a proper look when the actual wording of the question is out, but on the face

Populus show Tories dropping below 40%

Populus's monthly poll for the Times has topline voting intentions, with changes from last month, of CON 39%(-2), LAB 35%(nc), LDEM 17%(+1). It was conducted between the 5th and 7th December. The other questions in the poll suggest similar slight movements away from the Conservatives.

Waiting for a poll

Tonight we should - finally - be getting a regular voting intention poll. It seems like a very long time since the last two polls, which rather unhelpfully showed an 11 point Tory lead and a 1 point Tory lead. Populus's regular poll for the Times should be

ComRes show Tory lead down to a single point

A new poll by ComRes in Tuesday's Indy tells a completely different story to ICM and MORI's recent figures. The topline figures, with changes from ComRes's last poll, are CON 37%(-6), LAB 36%(+4), LDEM 17%(+5). The poll was conduced between Friday

MORI too show a post-PBR boost for the Tories

Following on from ICM's poll on Saturday, Sunday's Observer also features a poll showing an increase in Conservative support following the PBR. The Ipsos MORI poll has topline figures, with changes from MORI's last poll conducted a fortnight ago, of CON 43%(+3), LAB

Conservatives gain in ICM's post-PBR poll

The ICM poll we've been waiting for these last few days has finally turned up in the Guardian. The topline figures, with changes from their last poll a week ago, are CON 45%(+3), LAB 30%(-1), LDEM 18%(-1). It was conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday, so

Populus shows Brown's economic lead faltering

The Times have released a new poll following the PBR. It isn't the first since the PBR, but unlike YouGov's respondents would have had chance to see the media reaction following the PBR and start to digest it. It sadly doesn't have any voting

More from YouGov's PBR poll

The full details of the YouGov poll are now up on their website here. Looking at the regular trackers the movement continues to be strongly in Labour's direction. 28% are now satisfied with the government, compared to 23% last month. David Cameron's lead as best Prime

First post-PBR poll shows a 4 point Tory lead

The first poll since the PBR is in the Telegraph tomorrow. The YouGov poll has topline voting intentions of CON 40%(-1), LAB 36%(nc), LDEM 14%(nc). The poll was conducted Monday evening and today, so was entirely after the PBR, though as I said in my earlier post,

Waiting for the verdict...

The press reaction to the PBR hasn't be particularly nice, but now we have to wait for the first polls to show us how the public have reacted. We are due the regular YouGov poll for the Telegraph this week - normally on Friday but it could be
